Our Story

'Twas the night before the play, when all through the school,

Not a student was stirring, not even a mule.

The play was set, and no one knew what's coming,

Not even Brianna Bates, for she was just humming.

The day is now October 22nd.

"It will be a normal day," Brianna Bates reckoned.

The school would be in a clatter.

Little Brianna Bates springs out from class to see what's the matter.

Away to the stage she flew in a flash.

The hosts collecting from the audience their cash.

The play would now begin, this cold autumn night,

Bringing together two unlikely people, creating a spark of light.

In the audience, Charles Poppe viewed,

As the play was not crude.

Then like when a flower blooms, the world got better,

For 'twas the girl in the red sweater.

As she sung like a bird upon the stage,

The audience listened with joy, people of every age.

Charles Poppe and Brianna Bates were destined to meet,

The world becoming a little more complete.

From this moment a new relationship has begun,

These two souls, becoming more like one.

For some reason there would always come a day,

Where one of them would have to go away.

But their love would not dwindle,

For the fire would always rekindle.

'Twas now last Christmas, when I gave you my heart,

And the very next day, you wouldn't give it away.

Charles Poppe would get down on one knee,

"Of course I will marry you," said she.

There usually comes a day

Where wise men say,

Only fools rush in.

But they knew what they were feeling within,

And couldn't help falling in love

Their hearts cooing like a turtle dove

Now the time has come to pass,

You are now all caught up at last.

And the wedding will come soon,

In November, a little past noon.

So be ready,

There may be spaghetti.
